Datatag ID was proud to sponsor Lee Hardy Racing during the prestigious North West 200 event. This year, our partnership, despite a break from the British Superbike Championship, brings us together with the talented and accomplished Aussie rider, Davo Johnson.
Being one of the most anticipated road racing events on the calendar, the North West 200 attracts top competitors and 150,000 passionate fans from around the world. Taking place on the scenic and challenging 8.9-mile circuit along Northern Ireland’s roads, the race demands exceptional skill, precision, and bravery from all participants. Davo Johnson, with multiple top-ten finishes in his career, was a great fit for this demanding event, and after 5 years away from the North West 200, came away with 8th in final Superbike race after racing on the Thursday night and respective Saturday afternoon, which saw riders hit an incredible 205mph!
Davo Johnson posted ‘We had it all against us from the get go with no testing on the new bikes plus I’ve had 5 years away from NW, but we plugged away and improved the bikes each time on track. Very happy to come away with 8th in the first Superbike race’, going on to express excitement towards the Isle of Man TT… Watch this space as this is where Davo has a personal best lap speed of 130.562mph average!
