DATATAG TO SUPPORT 2018 BSB CHAMPIONSHIP ONCE MORE

Recently Datatag CEO Kevin Howells signed to continue support of the British Superbike Championship – for a fourth consecutive year. Datatag will once again become the sole sponsor for the Datatag Extreme Qualifying, arguably the most exciting part of the run up to each round’s racing.

Kevin said “It’s great to be part of the championship once more – our Extreme Qualifying has really become an integral part of the weekend’s event and we can’t wait to see the championship start in earnest in a few weeks time.”

Stuart Higgs, Championship Race Director commented “To have Datatag on board for another year is great news for the series. Datatag have become a valued partner over the last few years and we look forward to some close, exciting and ‘extreme’ qualifying during the season.”

Today, in support of the Championship, staff from Datatag, who are also the technology partners to the official industry security marking scheme MASTER, were on hand at the Donington Test Day to fit MASTER security identification labels to each competitor’s bike across all of the series. These unique labels are fitted not only to monitor frame usage throughout the season but also to help deter theft, something which even race teams have had to endure in the recent years.

The MASTER Scheme, with Datatag’s unique security marking technologies, is fitted as standard to almost all major manufacturer’s machines as part of the industry wide campaign to stamp out bike crime and has had significant success in reducing theft since launched in 2012.

The Championship starts with its’ first round at Donington Park on 31st March where some of the world’s best riders will start their campaign for overall glory in the Datatag Extreme Qualifying.
