Datatag’s MD, Kevin Howells, attended the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI) International Conference held in Kuala Lumpur at the end of April. This follows on from the success of last years’ conferences which were held in Lyon at Interpol’s HQ and in Thailand. This latest Regional Conference on Auto Theft Related Crime begins a new chapter for IAATI with the launch of a new IAATI Asia Division. The well attended conferences bring together experts from around the world.
Howells was invited to attend the 3-day conference by Interpol’s Senior Criminal Intelligence Officer Renato Schipani. Datatag ID Limited provides the technology and support to three industry wide security schemes in the UK, the Master Scheme for the motorcycle and scooter market, the CESAR Scheme for construction and agricultural equipment, and the Compass Scheme for the marine market.
These IAATI organised events are a great way for global officers to come together and share their intelligence on organised criminal gangs and developing threats. The event enables Datatag to share their experiences and innovative solutions to help educate and update officers about the various Datatag powered security schemes, which they supply to help support the fight against organised crime.
